Clive Lodge started work in a public park at the tender age of 15 in Northern England. After years of "on-site" training and formal college studies, he transferred to a technical college to become horticulture technician. Here he trained to teach horticulture. After 4 years he formed a small landscaping company serving private and commercial clients in his native Yorkshire.
In 1987 Clive was appointed head gardener to a prominent English entrepreneur in Hampshire, Southern England. Renovating and reorgansing this mixed garden, he gained recognition from the national press.
In 1991 Clive moved to Hoveton Hall, Norfolk as head gardener to work for the Buxton family where he developed this 20 acre garden into a popular tourist attraction.
In 1997 Clive was recruited by a world famous fashion designer after a recommendation by the late Rosemary Verey. He took up the post as head gardener/estate manager on the 55 acre garden in Connecticut, New England. This well published and reknowned garden was improved and developed to become one of the north easts premier private gardens.
The company Clive Lodge LLC was started in 2006 and serves clients both locally and nationally.
